  • Up to $145,000 for candidates with 10+ years of experience

About the Role

We’re seeking a results-oriented Director of Emergency Services to lead the Emergency Department at a busy 302-bed hospital in West Houston. This Level IV Trauma Center sees 130–150 patients per day and has 28 ER beds supported by 60 FTEs.

This is an ideal opportunity for a proven ED leader or a high-performing ED Manager ready to step into a Director role.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of a 28-bed Emergency Department

  • Lead, coach, and develop a 60-person ED team

  • Improve patient experience, quality outcomes, and staff engagement

  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and accrediting agencies

  • Drive operational performance, staffing excellence, and resource optimization

  • Collaborate directly with the CNO and hospital leadership to achieve departmental goals


Qualifications

✔️ Current RN license (Texas or Compact)
✔️ Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (required)
✔️ Master’s in Nursing, Healthcare Admin, or Business (preferred)
✔️ 2+ years of recent acute care ED Director experience OR 3–5 years of strong ED Manager experience
✔️ ACLS, BLS, and PALS/ENPC (required)
