Location: Austin, TX
Schedule: Full-time | Days (No Weekends)
Salary: $175,656 - $210,000 per year (based on experience)
Bonus: 15% target incentive plan
Relocation Assistance Available

  • Homeowners: $15,000 lump sum + up to $10,000 for moving expenses
  • Renters: $10,000 lump sum + up to $5,000 for moving expenses

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Emergency Services to lead strategic planning, quality improvement, and business development for a multi-hospital emergency services line. This role will oversee operations across 9 hospitals and 8 freestanding emergency departments (FSEDs), ensuring clinical excellence and operational success.

The ideal candidate has significant leadership experience in large acute care settings with Level 1 or Level 2 trauma designations and a proven track record of improving patient experience and performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute plans to enhance emergency services and drive growth.
  • Quality Improvement: Lead initiatives focused on efficiency, patient safety, and clinical excellence.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to Joint Commission and trauma designation requirements.
  • Collaboration: Partner with administrative leaders, physicians, and staff to achieve organizational goals.
  • Financial Management: Oversee budgets, develop operational and capital plans, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Employee Engagement: Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and recognition.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
    • Master’s Degree (Required)
    • BSN (Required)
  • Experience:
    • 5-7+ years as a Director in a large acute care hospital (Required)
    • Proven success in improving patient experience and operational performance
  • Licensure:
    • Active RN license in the state of practice or a compact license
  • Certifications:
    • Basic Life Support (BLS)

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base Salary: $175,656 - $210,000 per year (based on experience)
