Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Director of Emergency Services to lead a high-volume emergency department with 25+ beds, 100–120 visits per day, and multiple free-standing ED locations. This is a high-impact role responsible for clinical quality, patient experience, staff engagement, and operational and financial performance. Ideal for seasoned ED leaders ready to advance their career in Fort Worth, TX.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for the main ED and free-standing EDs.

  • Oversee approximately 70 FTEs and a total headcount of 100+ including managers and clinical coordinators.

  • Ensure delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care and maintain compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards.

  • Implement policies, procedures, and evidence-based practices to improve clinical outcomes.

  • Drive patient experience initiatives and ensure accountability for service excellence.

  • Manage staffing, scheduling, and labor resources to meet departmental needs.

  • Maintain financial performance, budgeting, and resource utilization.

  • Foster a culture of teamwork, professional development, and staff engagement.

  • Collaborate with physicians, administration, and community partners to grow service lines and enhance patient care.


Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum 3 years of recent acute care ED Director or Manager experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or approved education plan (BSN strongly preferred)

  • Active Texas RN license or Compact RN license

Preferred

  • Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field

  • National specialty certification such as CEN, CCRN, or equivalent
