Hourly Range: $40.80 – $60.20 (based on 40-hour workweek and experience)

Overview
A respected Dallas-area hospital is seeking an experienced Intensive Care Unit Nurse Manager to lead the Medical ICU team. This is a strategic leadership role overseeing a 16-bed unit and approximately 45 clinical professionals. The Nurse Manager provides operational direction, ensures the highest standards of patient safety and care, and cultivates a culture of collaboration and professional growth.

Responsibilities
Direct and coordinate the delivery of nursing services for the Medical Intensive Care Unit.
Oversee daily operations, staffing assignments, and resource allocation to maintain safe nurse-to-patient ratios.
Collaborate with physicians and department heads to optimize patient outcomes and streamline care processes.
Lead quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and patient satisfaction initiatives.
Monitor and manage departmental budgets and equipment procurement.
Hire, train, and mentor nursing staff, promoting engagement, accountability, and retention.
Develop and implement policies, education programs, and evidence-based practices that advance patient care.
Serve as a clinical and administrative liaison for critical care services within the hospital.
Qualifications
Required:
Active RN license in Texas or Compact state
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Minimum of two (2) years of recent leadership experience in Critical Care/ICU
BLS and ACLS (AHA or Red Cross)
Preferred:
Master’s Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field
National specialty certification (CCRN, CNRN, or equivalent)
Prior experience in a tertiary or teaching hospital setting
