Position Overview:

Shifts:
- Days (rotating weekends): 3x12 hr. shifts/week (7A-7P)
- Nights (rotating weekends): 3x12 hr. shifts/week (7P-7A)
Unit offers self-scheduling.
Opportunity to specialize in areas like General Med Surg, Oncology, Orthopedics, Ortho Trauma, and Telemetry.
Nurse to patient ratio: 1:5/6 with 35 beds per unit.

Key Responsibilities:

Organize, modify, evaluate, and document the plan of care for medical/surgical inpatients, with a specialty focus on orthopedics.
Plan, implement, revise, and delegate nursing care.
Perform necessary technical skills as defined by education, expertise, and unit requirements.
Incorporate teaching into all facets of nursing practice.

Requirements:

BSN required. However, ADN candidates can benefit from our Tuition-Free ADN to BSN program (Online approx. a year with CNO approval).
Texas State RN license or compact license.
Current BLS/ACLS issued by the American Heart Association.
At least one (1) year recent Med Surg RN experience in an acute care hospital setting.

Note: Candidates from REHAB, LTAC, OR HOME HEALTH backgrounds will not be considered.

Compensation:

Salary:
- Starting at $30/hr (1 year of experience)
- Mid: $38.87/hr (10 years of experience)
- Max: $46/hr (20 years of experience)
