Job Title: PCU RN

Shift: Nights 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (rotating weekends)

Location: Irving, TX 75039

Salary: $56,160-$86,112/year varies based on experience

Requirements:

ADN (associate degree in nursing) required.
BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) preferred.
Current Texas State Licensure as a Registered Nurse (Compact license is accepted, but TX State RN license required within 30 days of hire)
Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications
Minimum of 2 years of recent acute PCU RN nursing experience
Candidate must have 1 year of Cardiac experience.
Recent acute care experience within the last year is required.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Assess patient's condition, monitor vital signs, and administer medications as prescribed.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
Perform nursing procedures, such as IV insertion, wound care, and medication administration.
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and alert appropriate healthcare providers of any abnormalities.
Educate patients and their families on disease processes, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.
Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities and medical records.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
Respond effectively to emergency situations and provide appropriate interventions.
