- Bed Capacity: 397 licensed beds.
- Specializations: A state-of-the-art NICU, comprehensive women’s health services, and newborn care.
- Medical Professionals: Over 650 board-certified physicians specializing in gynecology, obstetrical care, high-risk pregnancy, and minimally invasive surgery.
Role Insight & Responsibilities:
- Monday-Friday, 3pm-11pm
- Monday-Friday, 11am-7pm
- Oversee and administer nursing care and other related services.
- Foster a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, incorporating nursing, medical, respiratory care, laboratory, pharmaceutical, and public relations.
- Contribute to budget formulation and adhere to budgetary guidelines.
- Champion and assess continuous process improvement within provided services.
- Manage all human resources aspects including hiring, evaluating, termination, counseling, coaching, and staff development.
- Direct professional nursing practices to maintain quality patient care through evaluation of clinical practice standards.
- Establish, review, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Implement and review disaster preparedness policies and procedures.
- Offer round-the-clock coverage and problem resolution for the services provided.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent acute care staff experience and 2 years in a Charge or Supervisor role specifically in the L&D unit.
- Educational Background: BSN (Mandatory), MSN and RNC (Preferred).
- Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas.
- Medication Learning Module
- NRP and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification required within six (6) months of hire.
- Bed Count: 45 beds in the L&D unit.
- Team Size: The manager will oversee approximately 40 FTE’s.
