Job Description: Join our team at a prominent medical center in Dallas, Texas, offering a 796-bed tertiary care center. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our Emergency Room department. As an RN in our ER, you will provide high-quality, individualized care to our patients in accordance with ANA standards. Our facility is a pioneer in minimally invasive surgery and offers a range of specialties, including rehabilitation, heart and vascular care, women's services, and cutting-edge cancer treatment. Shifts:
- Full Time Nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
- Rotating Weekends
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize, modify, evaluate, document, and maintain the plan of care for Emergency Department patients.
- Provide individualized, family-centered, holistic, supportive, and safe care.
- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
- Recommend and implement courses of action, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, and completion of performance evaluations.
- Assist with staff scheduling and manage all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required within 6 months of hire
- TNCC and ENPC certifications required within 18 months
- CEN and/or CPEN preferred
- Minimum 1 year of recent ED experience in an acute care setting required
- Experience in a larger facility or free-standing ED is a plus
