Position Overview:

We are actively seeking an experienced Nurse Manager for our Pediatric ICU. This day-shift role entails a commitment of 7-10 hours on weekdays. The chosen candidate will take charge of overseeing all department functions, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, efficient care to our young patients. The manager will also make critical decisions within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion patient safety within the PICU clinical practice environment.
  • Spearhead PICU Department initiatives and drive process improvements.
  • Manage personnel, payroll, budgets, capital allocation, business planning, and cultivate physician relationships.
  • Act as a liaison between the hospital, community, and other institutions.
  • Supervise both human and material resources effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing (required).
  • Master’s degree in nursing or a related field (preferred).
  • Five years of management experience in an acute care hospital setting.
  • Current Texas RN license or compact license.
  • Current BLS provider certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • PALS certification.
