Position Overview:

We are actively seeking an experienced Nurse Manager for our Pediatric ICU. This day-shift role entails a commitment of 7-10 hours on weekdays. The chosen candidate will take charge of overseeing all department functions, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, efficient care to our young patients. The manager will also make critical decisions within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act.

Key Responsibilities:

Champion patient safety within the PICU clinical practice environment.
Spearhead PICU Department initiatives and drive process improvements.
Manage personnel, payroll, budgets, capital allocation, business planning, and cultivate physician relationships.
Act as a liaison between the hospital, community, and other institutions.
Supervise both human and material resources effectively.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in nursing (required).
Master’s degree in nursing or a related field (preferred).
Five years of management experience in an acute care hospital setting.
Current Texas RN license or compact license.
Current BLS provider certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
PALS certification.
