Location: Austin, TX
Employment Type: Full-Time, Days (No Weekends)
Compensation: Up to $130,000/year (based on experience)
Relocation Bonus: Available for eligible candidates


Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated PACU Nurse Manager to lead the Post Anesthesia Care Unit in Austin, TX. This leadership role oversees 18.5 FTEs and plays a vital part in supporting perioperative services across a thriving surgical program. Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the PACU, ensuring safe and effective patient recovery.

  • Lead staffing, scheduling, and productivity management to meet departmental goals.

  • Conduct performance evaluations, establish employee goals, and mentor team members.

  • Review, revise, and implement departmental policies, standing orders, and protocols.

  • Monitor and address facility conditions, taking action to prevent and resolve issues.

  • Support hospital-wide Process Improvement initiatives.

  • Serve as a change agent by modeling leadership and supporting organizational goals.

  • Manage departmental budgets, inventory, and resource allocation.

  • Maintain professional growth through ongoing education and development.


Qualifications

Required:

  • Current RN license (Texas or Compact).

  • BSN degree.

  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in OR or Day Surgery.

  • Previous management experience.

Preferred:

  • MSN or advanced degree in Nursing or Healthcare Leadership.

  • Strong background in PACU leadership.
