Overview
A large, high-acuity acute care hospital in North Texas is seeking an experienced Administrative Director of Women’s & Children’s Services to lead a comprehensive service line including Labor & Delivery, NICU, PICU, Pediatrics, and related maternal-child programs.
This executive nursing leadership role is responsible for operational performance, financial stewardship, quality outcomes, service line growth, and strategic program development. The Director will oversee multidisciplinary teams and ensure safe, evidence-based care across all women’s and children’s services.
This position offers the opportunity to lead a high-volume, advanced perinatal and pediatric program within a dynamic healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
Provide executive oversight of Women’s & Children’s Services operations
Lead strategic growth initiatives across maternal-child service lines
Ensure patient safety, regulatory compliance, and quality outcomes
Oversee budgeting, financial performance, and resource allocation
Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures
Drive performance improvement initiatives and quality control programs
Ensure appropriate staffing levels and competency validation
Promote interdisciplinary collaboration and patient-centered care
Support orientation, continuing education, and leadership development
Participate in community outreach and service line business development
Integrate departmental services within overall hospital operations
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field
Active Texas RN license (or Compact eligibility)
National Specialty Certification
AHA BLS Certification
10+ years of recent nursing experience in Women’s Services (L&D, NICU, PICU, Pediatrics, etc.)
5+ years of progressive nursing leadership experience
Preferred
Experience in high-acuity or Level III/IV maternal-child programs
Service line growth and program development experience
Experience managing large teams and complex budgets
