Overview
A high-acuity hospital in Fort Worth is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager of Emergency Services to lead operations across both a main Emergency Department and a Free-Standing ED (FSED). This leadership role includes 24/7 accountability for patient care, staffing, and performance improvement. Key Responsibilities
Provide 24/7 leadership for the main ED and 8-bed FSED.
Oversee approximately 65 FTEs supporting 30+ ED beds.
Ensure safe, high-quality nursing care for all patient populations.
Collaborate with physicians, staff, and hospital leadership to optimize outcomes.
Manage staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Drive continuous improvement and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
Support staff development and foster a culture of safety and excellence.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – MSN preferred
Active Texas RN license or Compact RN license
Minimum 2 years of recent ER leadership or supervisory experience in acute care
Recent clinical practice (within last 3 years)
BLS and ACLS (must be maintained)
PALS or ENPC (or ability to obtain within 1 year)
Preferred
National specialty certification (CEN, CNRN, CCRN, or equivalent)
Leadership experience in a high-volume ED
