💵 Salary Range: $29.30 - $43 per hour (based on experience).
🕒 Shifts: 3pm-11:30pm or 2pm-10:30pm with rotating weekends.
💲 Differentials: $3/evening, $2.50/weekend.

Position Title: 👩‍⚕️ Microbiology Technologist
Location: 📍 Richmond, VA

Job Description: Duties

Conduct specimen processing, microbiology, serology, and infectious disease testing independently.
Ensure compliance with department policies, accrediting agency requirements, and regulatory standards.
Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot issues as needed.
Collaborate with healthcare teams, act as a resource, and assist in training personnel.
Adhere to quality control and quality assurance protocols for laboratory testing and equipment performance.

Qualifications:

🎓 Associate's Degree in Medical Technology, Biomedical Science, Biology, or Chemistry (required); Bachelor's Degree (preferred).
🏅 National Certification as a Microbiology Technologist.
📜 State license where required.
📚 Thorough knowledge of laboratory methods, microbiology, serology, and infectious disease processes.
💬 Excellent communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
