Role Insight:
Role Insight & Responsibilities:
- Shift: Full-Time, Night Shift with Rotating Weekends.
- Start Dates: Multiple slots available from end of October to mid-March.
- Primary Duties:
- Provide direct patient care, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Administer medications, monitor patient responses, and adjust treatments under supervision.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide optimal patient care.
- Document and communicate patient care effectively and efficiently.
- Engage in continuous learning and skills improvement through the StaRN program.
- Advocate for patients' rights; identify and ensure the resolution of ethical and clinical concerns.
Program Overview: The StaRN/Residency is a transformative yearlong journey for new graduate nurses, culminating in acute care nursing proficiency. Here's a sneak peek:
Part 1: StaRN Training (5-6 weeks)
- Instructor-led classroom training.
- Advanced simulation sessions with comprehensive debriefs.
- Essential unit certifications.
- Charting systems training.
- Monday-Friday, 8-hour workdays.
Part 2: StaRN Clinical Preceptorship (6-8 weeks)
- In-hospital training.
- One-on-one mentorship for guidance and integration.
- Regular review meetings for personalized development.
- Customized coaching and onboarding.
- Three (3) 12-hour hospital shifts.
Part 3: HCA Residency Program (Rest of the 1st year)
- Transition to your full-time role.
- Ongoing professional development with routine mentor interactions.
Your Eligibility:
- Licensure: Colorado RN license or Multi-state Compact RN license (required by week 6-7).
- Education: Graduated from an accredited nursing school within the last year.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support.
- Qualities: Self-driven with outstanding communication skills.
- Commitment: Complete attendance during the StaRN Training.
- Health: Vaccinated for COVID-19 (subject to medical or religious exemptions).
