Salary: Up to $110,000 per year (based on experience)
Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 (with 2-year commitment)
Relocation Assistance: Available (case-by-case)
Incentive Bonus: Up to 10% of base salary

Position Overview

We are hiring an experienced Microbiology Manager to oversee daily operations in a high-throughput central laboratory. This is a leadership role within a mission-driven healthcare organization, ideal for a candidate passionate about diagnostic excellence and laboratory innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day operations of a busy microbiology laboratory
Lead and supervise both technical and administrative laboratory staff
Oversee department resources including staffing, supply costs, and workload trends
Ensure compliance with CAP, CLIA, and other applicable regulatory standards
Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate team members
Collaborate with division leadership on quality improvement and operational efficiency
Coordinate with multiple facilities and manage occasional regional travel

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or a related field

Certification:

National certification required (ASCP or AMT)

Experience:

Minimum 3–5 years of microbiology laboratory management or supervisory experience
Prior leadership experience in a central or high-volume bacteriology lab is required

Skills:

Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills
Proven track record of effective team and operations management
Knowledge of laboratory regulatory compliance and accreditation standards
