Director of Trauma Program - Florida Hospital

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director for our Trauma Program. Serving the community since 1969, the hospital is a renowned 450+ bed acute care facility that offers an array of medical services. We are recognized for our accredited Chest Pain Center, certified Stroke Center, Level II trauma center, and other specialized programs.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead a multidisciplinary trauma team, focusing on enhancing patient care.
Collaborate with the Trauma Medical Director to drive the Trauma Program's objectives.
Oversee trauma-related activities and ensure optimal trauma care.
Develop programs internally and externally, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and ACS requirements.
Act as the primary liaison between the Trauma Medical Director, Administration, and other key stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Associate's Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
5+ years of RN experience in trauma, emergency, or critical care.
Active RN license in the state or an active compact license.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or Red Cross.
Certification in ENPC, PALS, TNCC, or ATC.

Unit Culture: Patient-centered with a strong leadership team, akin to family.
Reporting Structure: Directly reports to the VP of Operations.
Direct Supervision: Oversee Trauma Nurse Educator/Injury Prevention, Trauma PI RN, Trauma Registrar, and Administrative Assistant.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate must have a proven track record in leading and managing a trauma program, with strong trauma leadership skills.

Compensation and Benefits:

Estimated Salary: $145K (with an eligible incentive bonus of 15%).
Sign-On Bonus: Evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Relocation Assistance: Available upon evaluation.
