Overview
We’re hiring an experienced CVICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join a leading cardiac critical care team in Ocala, Florida.
This is an opportunity to care for some of the most complex cardiac and post-surgical patients, including those requiring ventilator support, vasoactive drips, and advanced hemodynamic monitoring.
As part of a collaborative critical care team, you’ll practice evidence-based nursing, use the latest technology, and work alongside highly skilled clinicians in a hospital known for its commitment to innovation and patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
Deliver direct, high-acuity nursing care for cardiovascular and post-open-heart patients.
Monitor invasive lines, drips, and ventilators, ensuring timely intervention when changes occur.
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other specialists to manage patient recovery.
Educate patients and families about procedures, medications, and ongoing care needs.
Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
Serve as a patient advocate while promoting safety, comfort, and dignity.
Contribute to unit-based quality and performance improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Required:
Active RN license (Florida or Compact State)
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma
Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience within the last 2–3 years
Current BLS (within 30 days) and ACLS (within 90 days)
Preferred:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
2+ years of cardiovascular or surgical ICU experience
CCRN certification
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly Rate: $32–$48/hour (commensurate with experience)
Shift Differential: +$4.25 nights
Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 for days | $15,000 for nights
