Medical Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse

Location: Marion, IN 46952
Job Duration: 13-week renewable contract
Shift: 3x12-Hour (18:00 - 06:30) AND rotating weekends
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: $1,922-$2,243/week
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as an MS/Tele Float RN. As an MS/Tele Float Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in various units, including Telemetry, Medical/Surgical, and Rehabilitation. Join our dedicated healthcare team and contribute to providing high-quality care to our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Telemetry, Medical/Surgical, and Rehabilitation units.
- Monitor patients' vital signs, interpret cardiac rhythms, and observe telemetry readings.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Assess and document patients' conditions, progress, and responses to treatments.
- Perform ongoing assessments and communicate changes in patients' conditions to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Assist in patient education, providing information about medications, treatments, and self-care.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of patients by adhering to infection control protocols and maintaining a clean and organized environment.
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in Medical Surgical and Telemetry units.
- Previous experience in float nursing and travel assignments is required.
- Active RN license in the state of Indiana.
- BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Flexibility to work every other weekend.
