Compensation:

Base Pay Rate: $35.00/hr.- $ 40.00/hr.
Overtime: 1.5% for 40+ hours in a week
Charge Nurse: Additional $5.00
On-Call: $5.00
Call Back: 1.5%
Holiday Pay: 1.5%

Job Description:

Experience Required: Minimum 1 year
Requirements: Colorado DORA and BLS certification required
Schedule: You'll work day shifts from Monday to Friday, with occasional on-call rotations in evenings and weekends.
Operating Rooms: There are three operating rooms, but only one is in use at a time due to one nurse anesthetist.
Types of Cases: You will assist in various surgical procedures including C-sections, tubal ligations, laparoscopic cholecystectomies, laparoscopic appendectomies, open hernia repairs, hemorrhoidectomies, and more.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist surgical team during procedures
Prepare operating rooms with necessary equipment and instruments
Ensure sterile field is maintained throughout surgeries
Hand instruments and supplies to surgeons and surgical assistants
Anticipate the needs of the surgeon during procedures
Maintain and clean surgical equipment
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and comfort

Qualifications:

Certification as a Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST)
Active Colorado DORA license
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care experience

Note: This is a travel-friendly facility, and first-time travelers are welcome. Return staff policy requires a 6-month separation.
