Job Title: Respiratory Therapist

Location: Asheville, NC 28801

Shift: Full-Time, Night shift (Rotating weekends)

Salary Range: $31,200-$79,040/year based on experience.

We are currently seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team in Asheville, NC. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a crucial role in monitoring and treating patients with various respiratory conditions. Your responsibilities will include conducting diagnostic tests, collaborating with physicians and nurses to develop treatment plans, and administering respiratory treatments based on patient needs.

Responsibilities:

Interview patients to gather information about their respiratory conditions and medical histories.
Perform diagnostic tests to assess lung capacity and oxygen levels.
Collaborate with physicians and nurses to develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
Administer respiratory treatments and therapies, such as inhalation therapy and chest physiotherapy.
Monitor and adjust ventilator settings for patients in critical care units.
Educate patients and their families on respiratory conditions, medications, and home care techniques.
Document patient information and treatment plans accurately and maintain patient records.
Respond to emergency situations and provide immediate respiratory assistance when necessary.

Qualifications:

Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of start date.
State certification as a Respiratory Therapist is required.
Associate of Science in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent education is preferred.
At least 1 year of experience in respiratory therapy is preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
