Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday (Day Shift, No Weekends)

Leadership Incentive Bonus: 15%–22.5%

Position Overview
A rapidly growing emergency department in North Texas is hiring a Director of Emergency Services to lead the main ED and two freestanding emergency departments (FSEDs). This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven ER leader to make a measurable impact on performance, patient flow, and care quality in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee clinical operations of a 21-bed main ED and two off-campus FSEDs

  • Lead, coach, and support a team of ~75 FTEs, including ER managers and frontline staff

  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards

  • Collaborate with the engaged ED Medical Director to strengthen teamwork and efficiency

  • Monitor and optimize throughput, staffing, and patient satisfaction

  • Implement process improvements to reduce door-to-doc times and enhance care delivery

  • Drive strategic growth and trauma readiness in coordination with executive leadership

  • Promote staff development, retention, and leadership training initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required; Master’s in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Business preferred

  • Active RN license in Texas or compact-eligible state

  • Minimum 3 years of recent experience as a Director of Emergency Services in a similar acute care setting

  • Experience with performance metrics, multi-site operations, and leadership development

  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and either PALS or ENPC required

Department Overview

  • Main ED: 21 beds | 100–120 patients/day

  • FSED – Saginaw: 12 beds | 60–100 patients/day (seasonal variation)

  • FSED – Haslet: 12 beds | 22 patients/day

  • Trauma Designation: Level III, with Level II planning underway

  • CMS Five-Star rated hospital with high provider engagement and stable leadership
