Job Title: Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Location: Baltimore, MD 21215

Shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

Start Date: ASAP

Job Duration: 13-week renewable contract

Salary: $1,836-$2,142/week

We are currently seeking experienced and compassionate Registered Nurses to join our Medical Surgical team in Baltimore, MD. As a Registered Nurse in the Medical Surgical unit, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive care to patients with various medical conditions. Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on the individual needs and conditions of the patients.
  • Monitor and document patients' vital signs, symptoms, and progress, ensuring timely intervention and appropriate care.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to create and implement patient care plans.
  • Provide emotional support, education, and guidance to patients and their families.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions.

Requirements:

  • Valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Medical Surgical setting.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
  • Level 1 trauma experience is preferred.
  • Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
  • Experience with respiratory distress, sepsis, UTI, cellulitis, change in mental status, pain management, generalized weakness, and abnormal labs is desirable.
  • COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory, with medical/religious exemptions only.
