Job Title: Manager of CVICU

Location: Aventura, FL 33180

Shift: Evening Shift (3:00 pm - 11:00 pm)

Salary: $110,000/year based on experience

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of CVICU to join our team in Aventura, FL. As the Manager of CVICU, you will oversee the operations and staff of the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care. Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the CVICU team, fostering a collaborative and patient-centered culture.
  • Ensure the implementation and adherence to evidence-based practices and clinical protocols.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and execute comprehensive patient care plans.
  • Monitor patient outcomes and quality metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies for enhancement.
  • Manage staffing and scheduling to ensure appropriate coverage and maintain optimal patient-to-staff ratios.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and support the professional development of CVICU staff.
  • Promote effective communication and interdisciplinary collaboration to optimize patient care coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Stay abreast of advancements in cardiovascular critical care practices and incorporate best practices into clinical workflows.

Requirements:

  • Current Florida or compact RN license.
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Minimum of 3 years of critical care experience in a CVICU setting.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a CVICU (minimum 1 year).
  • Strong clinical knowledge and expertise in cardiovascular critical care nursing.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize tasks in a dynamic healthcare environment.
  • This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state, and/or federal laws or regulations, unless a medical or religious exemption is approved.
