Nurse Manager – Inpatient Rehabilitation

  • Monthly Salary: $9,835 – $14,752 (based on experience)

Overview

We are seeking a Nurse Manager to oversee a high-functioning inpatient rehabilitation unit focused on complex recovery cases including stroke, neurological conditions, and post-acute medical rehabilitation.

This role is ideal for a leader who understands the continuum of care beyond acute hospitalization and is passionate about driving functional outcomes, patient independence, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Direct daily operations of a 30+ bed inpatient rehabilitation unit

  • Lead nursing staff with a focus on engagement, retention, and clinical excellence

  • Coordinate care across therapy services, case management, and physicians

  • Ensure compliance with rehab-specific metrics, including functional outcomes and discharge goals

  • Oversee staffing models, productivity, and unit-based financial performance

  • Support quality initiatives tied to patient progression and length of stay

  • Manage hiring, coaching, and performance improvement of nursing staff

  • Maintain accountability for patient safety, regulatory readiness, and care standards

Qualifications

Required

  • Active RN license (Texas or compact)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field

  • 3+ years of inpatient rehabilitation clinical experience

  • 3+ years of leadership or charge nurse experience

Preferred

  • CRRN certification (or willingness to obtain)

  • Experience with FIM scoring or rehab outcome tracking systems

  • Background working in interdisciplinary rehab teams
