Job Title: ER Registered Nurse
Location: Waycross, GA 31501
Shift: Full-time, Nights (12-hour shifts with weekend rotation)
Salary: $54,870-$82,285/year based on experience.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. As an ER Nurse, you will play a vital role in assessing, planning, implementing, and coordinating patient care to achieve positive outcomes. Responsibilities:
- Manage the efficient flow of patients, including screening, exam preparation, providing general nursing care, and coordinating testing and admissions.
- Instruct patients and families on medications and treatment instructions, ensuring their understanding and compliance.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including test results and examination findings.
- Administer medications in accordance with physician orders and follow established protocols.
- Ensure that patients’ rooms are adequately stocked with necessary supplies.
- Respond to and refer incoming telephone calls, including phone triage when necessary.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality care and achieve departmental goals.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited school of Registered Nursing is required.
- Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice or hold a Compact/Multi-State RN license.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification is required.
- Preferred certifications: Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Life Support (PALS).
- Previous hospital-setting Registered Nurse experience is required.
