Shift: 3x12-Hour (15:00 - 03:00) AND Every Other Weekend
Start Date: ASAP
Job Duration: 13-Week Renewable Contract
Salary: $1,512-$1,764/week
We are currently seeking experienced and dedicated Registered Nurses with a specialty in Emergency Room (ER) nursing to join our team in Valdosta, GA. As an ER Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to patients across all age groups. This is a 13-week renewable contract position with the possibility of extension. Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in an emergency room setting.
- Assess, triage, and prioritize patient needs based on the severity of their condition.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs, symptoms, and changes in condition.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Utilize the Pyxis medication system to safely dispense medications.
- Document patient information accurately and efficiently using the Epic documentation system.
- Respond to emergencies and provide immediate interventions to stabilize patients.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and enhance nursing skills and knowledge.
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to work extra shifts and fill in where needed in the schedule.
Requirements:
- Valid RN license in the state of Georgia.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency room setting.
- Experience with a wide range of patient age groups, including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
- ACLS, BCLS, PALS, TNCC certifications are required.
- CPI BLUE certification is preferred.
- Experience in a Level I Trauma Center is preferred.
- Proficiency in ventilated patient care and triage is highly desired.
- Familiarity with DKA, COPD, stroke, chest pain, abdominal pain, psychiatric emergencies, and COVID patients.
- Ability to adapt to a non-trauma designated facility undergoing trauma designation review and leadership reorganization.
- Familiarity with Epic documentation system is preferred.
