Certified Surgical Technician 
Location: Gainesville, FL 32614
Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Pay Range: $22.66 – $32.86 per hour (based on experience)
Sign-On Bonus: $15,000
Relocation Assistance: Available on a case-by-case basis

Shift Differentials:

  • Night: +$3.25/hour

  • Weekend: +$2.00/hour

  • Evening (8 or 10-hour shifts): +$2.00/hour

  • On-call: $4.00/hour

  • Call-back: Paid at time and a half

Available Shifts:

  • Days: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour shifts) or 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM (10-hour shifts)

  • Evenings: 10:30 AM – 11:00 PM (12-hour shifts) or 10:30 AM – 9:00 PM (10-hour shifts)

On-Call Requirement: Must be able to respond within 30 minutes when on call

Job Overview

We are hiring a Certified Surgical Technician (CST) to support a multidisciplinary surgical team in delivering high-quality, compassionate patient care. You will play a critical role in maintaining sterile environments, supporting surgical procedures, and ensuring patient safety throughout the perioperative process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scrub duties for surgical procedures while maintaining sterile technique

  • Prepare and organize surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment

  • Collaborate with registered nurses and surgeons to ensure optimal patient outcomes

  • Support pre-, intra-, and post-operative care through effective teamwork and communication

  • Maintain a safe and clean surgical environment in compliance with hospital standards

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of CST experience preferred; acute care experience is a plus

  • Licensure: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited vocational school

  • Certifications: BLS certification required within 30 days of hire
