Location: Austin, TX
Schedule: Full-Time, Days (Rotating Weekends)

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base Salary: Up to $130,000 (based on experience)

Role Overview:
The Nursing Manager of Case Management provides day-to-day oversight and management of the hospital-based case management program. Reporting to the Case Management Director, the role ensures effective care coordination, quality outcomes, and optimal resource utilization while supervising and mentoring a team of case management professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a clinical resource and role model for the case management team.

• Oversee and facilitate the daily operations of the case management department.

• Ensure staff competency in utilizing InterQual to progress patient care plans.

• Actively collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure timely, effective patient management.

• Monitor and audit case manager interactions, documentation, and assessments for quality assurance.

• Participate in clinical performance improvement initiatives.

• Manage department scheduling, staffing, and education.

• Assume department leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Director.

Qualifications:

• Education:

  • Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.

• Experience:

  • Minimum 3+ years of recent case management experience in an acute care setting.

  • Prior experience with InterQual preferred.

• Licensure/Certifications:

  • Active RN license in the state of Texas or compact state license required.

  • Certification in Case Management (CCM) preferred.

  • Certification in InterQual or IQCI preferred.

Team Structure:

• Team Size: 22 RNs with a Team Leader who is a Social Worker.
