Night Shift Differential: $3.75 per hour

Weekend Shift Differential: $4.30 per hour

Shifts Available:

Nights: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Rotating weekends)

Join our dynamic healthcare team at a leading medical facility in Plano, Texas. As a Neuro Trauma ICU RN, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to patients in a fast-paced and high-acuity environment. Our 34-bed unit offers a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio and specializes in treating various neuro and trauma cases, including coiling procedures, clot retrievals, cerebral angiograms, and more. Responsibilities:

Assess, plan, and evaluate patient care needs.
Administer medications, dressings, wound care, and monitor vital signs.
Provide cardiopulmonary management and monitoring.
Serve as the primary coordinator of interdisciplinary patient care.
Monitor and document patient conditions using computerized systems.
Educate and instruct patients and families.
Coordinate patient discharge planning with the healthcare team.
Provide age and culturally appropriate care.
Orient and mentor new staff members.
Follow Standard Precautions and use personal protective equipment as needed.

Qualifications:

BSN Required - Magnet Facility
TX RN or Compact State Licensure
ACLS and BLS certifications
PALS certification within 6 months
CCRN specialty certification preferred
NIHSS Stroke Cert obtained within 90 days of hire
Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience in an acute care setting (2 years preferred)
Neuro ICU experience is a plus
Ventilator and Drip experience required (willing to train for the right attitude)
