Compensation: $97,926 - $146,889 per year (Based on Experience)
Bonus Potential: 15% + 150% multiplier
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $10,000
Relocation Assistance: Negotiable

Position Overview

We are seeking a Director of Surgical Services to lead and oversee the perioperative team, ensuring safe patient care while managing surgical operations efficiently. This role requires an experienced leader with a focus on surgical volume growth, operational excellence, and compliance with healthcare regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the surgical services team with 24/7 oversight of operations.
Identify potential issues affecting service delivery and implement effective solutions.
Drive patient experience initiatives in surgical services.
Mentor and develop staff through feedback, coaching, and performance management.
Ensure compliance with all hospital, state, and federal regulations.
Develop, implement, and evaluate strategies to enhance surgical efficiency and growth.
Enforce standards of care for surgical services and oversee process improvements.
Oversee financial performance, including budgeting and resource management.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
Master’s degree in Nursing, Business Administration, or Healthcare Administration preferred.
3+ years of leadership experience in surgical services required.
Current RN license required.
Certified Nursing Operating Room (CNOR) preferred.
Proven experience managing OR teams, surgical growth, and compliance.

Reporting Structure: Reports to COO
Team Size: 58 FTEs, Clinical Nurse Coordinators & Supervisors
Surgical Facilities:
- 7 ORs (including a cysto room)
- ~2,200 surgical cases annually
- ~2,000 endoscopy cases annually
Surgical Specialties:
- General, robotics, spine, women’s services, vascular, podiatry, urology
