Job Title: Registered Nurse - Radiology

Location: Chesapeake, VA 23320

Shift: 5x8-Hour (07:00 - 15:30)

Start Date: ASAP

Job Duration: 13-week renewable contract

Salary: $2,400-$2,800/week

As a Radiology Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and support during radiology procedures. Responsibilities:

Assist in the coordination and delivery of patient care during radiology procedures.
Provide pre- and post-procedural care, including patient assessments, monitoring vital signs, and administering medications as required.
Perform IV starts and manage intravenous therapy.
Monitor telemetry and ensure patient safety during procedures.
Administer conscious sedation under the supervision of a physician.
Monitor and manage ventilator support for patients when necessary.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure coordinated and efficient care.
Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely.
Provide patient and family education regarding procedures, risks, and post-procedure care.
Maintain infection control protocols and adhere to patient safety standards.

Requirements:

Valid and active Registered Nurse license in the state of Virginia.
BLS and ACLS certifications required via the American Heart Association.
NIHSS certification.
Proficiency in EPIC EMR system is a firm requirement (no exceptions).
Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Radiology nursing.
Experience with vents, IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and conscious sedation.
Travel nursing experience is preferred.
Availability to work weekdays, some weekends, be on-call, and work holidays as required within the contract.
COVID-19 vaccination is required as per facility guidelines, with medical or religious exemptions considered.
