Job Title: Graduate Nurse Residency – StaRN Program

Shift: Full-Time, Night Shift (Rotating Weekends)

Location: Denver, CO 80218

Salary: $66,560-$99,840/year based on experience

As a StaRN Graduate Nurse Resident, you will have the opportunity to participate in a comprehensive residency program designed to enhance your skills and transition smoothly into the role of a Registered Nurse. You will engage in various learning opportunities, including orientation, didactic training, clinical training, and preceptorship. We offer open positions in multiple specialties, including Med/Surg, Cardiac, Ortho, Neuro, Oncology, Behavioral Health, and more.

Responsibilities:

Participate in new employee orientation and unit orientation for a duration of 10-12 weeks.
Engage in 5-6 weeks of didactic training, including clinical orientation, relevant certification courses, high-fidelity simulation, Meditech EMR training, and e-learning. This training will be scheduled Monday-Friday for 40 hours per week.
Complete 5-6 weeks of clinical training on the unit with a dedicated preceptor. This training will be scheduled for 32 hours per week, aligning with the preceptor's schedule.
Collaborate with a cohort of fellow residents to foster meaningful relationships and support.

Qualifications:

Possess a current nursing degree (associates or bachelors) by the start date.
Have successfully passed the NCLEX by the start date.
Must not have any current or prior experience working as an acute care hospital Registered Nurse.
Flexibility to work either day or night shift based on unit-specific needs.
Commitment to a full-time Registered Nurse position with a HealthONE hospital for a two-year commitment period.
All candidates must have active OPT (Optional Practical Training) status. OPT is a temporary employment authorization for a year, obtained while in school, and the first job out of school must directly relate to their major.

Med Surg: Surgical Oncology, Med-Surg Overflow, Trauma Med, Neuro Medical, Ortho Spine
Med Surg Tele: Intermediate Care Unit, Surgical Telemetry/Cardiac Progressive Care

Note: To comply with the state mandate regarding the COVID-19 vaccine, all employees must be fully vaccinated or possess an approved religious/health exemption. $8,000 Sign-On Bonus and $5,000 Relocation Assistance for Qualified Candidates.
