👩‍⚕️ Director of Med-Surg - Leading Healthcare Facility in Sanford, FL

💵 Salary Range: $105K-$135K, 15% annual director’s bonus, and 2% annual increases.

Exciting Leadership Opportunity in Med-Surg Nursing: We are seeking two dynamic Directors of Med-Surg to lead vital units within a leading healthcare facility. Each role offers unique responsibilities, providing an opportunity to make a significant impact on patient care and hospital operations.

Position 1:

🏥 Oversee two units: A 47-bed general med-surg unit and a 26-bed cardiac med-surg unit.
🌟 Additional Responsibilities: Manage the Float Pool and Patient Safety Attendants (PSAs).
👥 Team Leadership: Direct a team of approximately 80-90 staff, including 2 Managers, Clinical Nurse Coordinators, RNs, LPNs, Patient Care Techs, and Nurse Externs.

Position 2:

🏥 Oversee a single unit: A 51-bed general Med/Surg unit catering to ortho, trauma, oncology, and telemetry patients.
👥 Team Leadership: Manage around 50-60 staff, including 1 Manager, Clinical Nurse Coordinators, RNs (including New Grads), and Patient Care Techs.

Common Responsibilities for Both Roles:

💼 Strategic planning, resource optimization, and performance enhancement.
🤝 Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and hospital leadership.
📈 Develop educational programs and ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
📊 Direct quality control, performance improvement, and clinical operations.

Qualifications:

🎓 Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (Master's preferred); ASN candidates with extensive experience considered.
🩺 5-10+ years of RN experience in Med-Surg or related units.
🚀 Minimum 3-5 years of progressive leadership experience.
🆔 Active Registered Nurse license.
🏅 Required certifications: NIH Stroke Scale, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Basic Cardiac Life Support.
