Position Summary:

As a CWOC Nurse in our Wound Care Department, you will play a crucial role in the observation, assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care. Your responsibilities will include administering prescribed medications and treatments, promoting wellness, maintaining health, and preventing illness. Our comprehensive approach to wound healing employs advanced technologies and aggressive strategies to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform thorough assessments of patients with complex wounds.
Develop individualized care plans to facilitate wound healing.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by authorized practitioners.
Provide health education and counseling to patients and families.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to address underlying causes and control infections.
Focus on the physical and emotional well-being of patients throughout the healing process.
Coordinate patient care with primary care physicians for holistic treatment.
Maintain current licensure and certifications.

Qualifications:

Current Texas Registered Nurse license
Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider (BLS certification)
CWOC (Wound Care) Certification Required
1 year of acute care experience in wound care within the last 2 years.
BSN degree required
