Compensation:
Base Salary Range: $40.79 – $61.19/hour (heavily based on years of experience)
Estimated Annual Salary: $84,843 – $127,275 (plus incentives)
Sign-On Bonus: Case by case
Relocation Assistance: Case by case
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager of Critical Care (Medical ICU) to oversee a 16-bed adult medical ICU. The Nurse Manager will supervise approximately 45 FTEs, reporting to the Director of Critical Care. This role is ideal for a collaborative leader with a strong ICU background, proven critical care management experience, and a focus on patient-centered quality care and regulatory excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct daily operations of the Medical ICU, ensuring safe and effective patient care
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance quality outcomes and compliance
Develop and implement policies to improve efficiency, safety, and patient experience
Lead, coach, and engage staff while managing labor resources and scheduling
Participate in budgeting, cost management, and departmental performance oversight
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required; advanced degree preferred
Minimum 2 years of recent (within last year) leadership experience in Critical Care/ICU
Current RN license in Texas or Compact state license
BLS and ACLS (AHA or Red Cross) required
CCRN and/or CNRN preferred
Strong knowledge of patient experience strategies, quality measures, and regulatory standards
