Key Responsibilities:

• Obtain quality radiographs for patients and assist with portable radiography.
• Follow radiation safety protocols for both patients and self.
• Ensure accurate computer operations (Meditech and PACS), verifying physician orders and entering charges.
• Assist with patient care in a professional and courteous manner.
• Prepare rooms for radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, ensuring inventory and cleanliness.
• Collaborate with radiologists during procedures, including the administration of medications and contrast agents.
• Review exams for technical accuracy, including markers, anatomical positioning, and annotation.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality at all times.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT certification required (or within 6 months of hire).
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Preferred: Society of Radiologic Technology or Virginia Society of Radiologic Technology membership.
• Preferred: Minimum of one year of experience as a Radiology Technologist (new grads are welcome to apply).
