Job Title: Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Shift: 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00)

Start Date: ASAP

Job Duration: 13-week renewable contract

Salary: $2,009-$2,344/week

We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team in Carrollton, GA. As an Operating Room Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care during surgical procedures.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the surgical team to prepare the operating room and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
Assist in positioning and preparing the patient for surgery, ensuring their safety and comfort.
Monitor and assess the patient's vital signs and anesthesia administration throughout the procedure.
Maintain a sterile and organized surgical field, following strict aseptic techniques.
Anticipate the needs of the surgical team, assisting with surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment as required.
Administer medications and intravenous fluids as prescribed by the surgeon or anesthesiologist.
Document all aspects of patient care and surgical procedures accurately and timely.
Follow established protocols and guidelines to ensure patient safety and prevent surgical site infections.
Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families throughout the surgical experience.
Adhere to all infection control and safety protocols, maintaining a safe and clean operating room environment.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements:

Active Georgia or compact state Registered Nurse license.
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certifications.
COVID-19 vaccination required as per facility guidelines (medical/religious exemptions only).
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the operating room within the specified specialties.
Previous travel nursing experience is required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with the surgical team.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in documentation and patient care.
