$25 per hour to $36 per hour
Shift Differentials: $3 per hour for night shifts and $2 per hour for weekends.
Sign-On Bonus: $7,500

Are you a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) seeking an exciting opportunity in the vibrant city of Tallahassee, FL? Join our team at Capital Regional, a leading 266-bed acute-care hospital renowned for its comprehensive healthcare services. As part of our dynamic team, you'll have access to a Pediatric ER, Senior Care ER, and an Express Care ER, along with specialized centers including a Bariatric Center, Behavioral Health Center, and more.

Unit Description:

Our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is a 44-bed facility providing intermediate-level inpatient care to adult and geriatric patients. Equipped with telemetry capabilities, our patients are continuously monitored for their safety. We offer respiratory isolation rooms and cater to patients who require higher monitoring levels than traditional medical-surgical units.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and provide patient education.
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Maintain accurate and complete patient records and documentation.
Respond to emergencies and provide critical care when needed.
Assist in patient transfers and procedures within the unit.
Ensure adherence to infection control protocols.
Foster a compassionate and supportive environment for patients and their families.

Qualifications:

Education: Associate Degree, Diploma in Nursing, or BSN required.
Licensure/Certification: Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. BLS – AHA Healthcare Provider and ACLS required.
Experience: 1-3 Years of acute care experience preferred.
Skills: Basic computer skills, arrhythmia test recognition (required within 30 days of hire), and excellent communication skills.

Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:5
Shifts: Days (7A-7P) and Nights (7P-7A) with rotating weekends.
