Your Role as a CVOR RN

As a CVOR RN , you’ll provide exceptional care to patients undergoing open-heart and cardiovascular surgeries. Here’s what you’ll do:

• Patient Care:

  • Assist surgeons and the surgical team during complex cardiovascular procedures, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.
  • Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and manage specialized equipment during surgeries.

• Operating Room Expertise:

  • Prepare and maintain sterile fields, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to anticipate needs and streamline procedures.

• On-Call Responsibilities:

  • Be available for on-call shifts (once a week and one weekend a month) to support emergency cases as needed.

• Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver seamless, high-quality care.
  • Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and patient-centered care.

Who We’re Looking For

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

• Experience: At least 1 year of CVOR RN experience in an acute care environment required.
• Education: BSN preferred; ADN considered with relevant experience.
• Certifications:
  • Current Florida RN license (or ability to obtain one).
  • Compact license holders must apply for a Florida RN license.
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA Healthcare Provider) required.
  • CNOR certification preferred.
• Skills: Strong technical proficiency, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
