Ortho Trauma PCU RN
Job Responsibilities
Applying the standards set forth for nursing practice by the American Nurses Association (ANA), the Ortho Trauma PCU RN will organize, modify, evaluate, document and maintain the plan of care for a unique population of patients.
• Plan, implement, revise and delegate nursing care
• Perform necessary technical skills as delineated through education, expertise, and unit requirements
• Incorporate teaching into all aspects of nursing practice
On this fast-paced and challenging 37-bed step down unit, you will provide care to adult patients undergoing elective procedures such as total joint replacement, bone, and soft tissue tumor resections as well as patients with various fractures, amputations, deglovings, and injuries from traumatic events such as car accidents and gunshots.
2 SHIFTS Available: Days & Nights (rotating weekends) 3X12 hr.
Day Shift: 7A-7P
Night Shift: 7p-7A
Education
BSN required
• Texas State RN license or compact license is accepted
• Current BLS/ACLS issued by the American Heart Association require
Must have at least one (1) year of RECENT Medical Surgical or Intermediate Care RN experience in an acute care hospital
Ortho or Trauma experience is PREFERRED
WILL NOT CONSIDER REHAB, LTAC OR HOME HEALTH

General Comments
Salary: Starting at $26.85- Mid (10yrs) $35.83 - Max (20yrs) $43.67 per hour - Salary is based on years of experience
Differential: Nights - $3.75 - Weekend $4.20 per hour
Sign On Bonus: UPTO a $7,500 - 2yr commitment
Relocation: $3,000 - 2yr commitment
