Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) - Austin, TX

  • Competitive salary range of $31.60- $47.40 per hour, commensurate with experience.

About Us:

A leading acute-care facility located in central Texas, boasting over 300 patient beds. We are renowned for our nationally accredited oncology program and the area’s only adult bone marrow transplant program. Additionally, our facility offers a Level II trauma center, cardiovascular care, orthopedics, surgical services, emergency care, nutrition services, and a sleep disorder center.


Position Overview:

  • Shift: Full-time; Evenings and Nights with >10 Hours/Weekends Rotation.
  • Type: Perm Contingent
  • Reason: Vacant Position

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct patient assessments and reassessments regularly.
  • Execute triage assessment for both medical and traumatic emergencies.
  • Report neglect or abuse, ensuring patient safety.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create a plan of care for each patient.
  • Administer and document medication accurately.
  • Offer health education to patients and their families.
  • Evaluate and document the patient's progress towards achieving outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – Preferred.
  • Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Nursing License (Texas license must be obtained within 90 days if Compact License).
  • Certifications Required:
    • Basic Life Support (BLS)
    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) OR Advanced Life Support (ALS)
    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) OR Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC)
    • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
