About the Role

Join a premier healthcare provider at a 523-bed, full-service acute care hospital in Gainesville, FL , and make a meaningful impact as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) . In this role, you’ll deliver high-quality respiratory care to patients in critical care settings, including ICU, CVICU, NICU, and PICU. This is a full-time position with rotating shifts (nights and evenings), offering competitive pay, generous bonuses, and relocation assistance.

Key Responsibilities

✔️ Deliver, set up, and maintain routine and non-routine respiratory therapies and equipment (e.g., oxygen, aerosol therapy, ventilators).
✔️ Perform and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) accurately.
✔️ Assess patient responses, side effects, and proper dosages of medications used in respiratory care.
✔️ Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, managers, and the public.
✔️ Teach and instruct patients, families, and staff on respiratory care practices.
✔️ Recognize and report signs of abuse or neglect in patients.
✔️ Provide critical care support in ICU, CVICU, NICU, and PICU settings.

Qualifications

🔹 Active Florida State Respiratory License Required.
🔹 NBRC Certification as RRT or CRT Required.
🔹 Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) Certification Required.
🔹 Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certifications Required (must be obtained within 30 days of hire).
🔹 1+ Year of Recent RRT Experience Preferred (ICU, CVICU, NICU, PICU, or Critical Care Unit).
🔹 Will consider candidates with home care, long-term care, or CRT experience.

Shift Details & Differentials

🔹 Available Shifts:

• Nights (Rotating Weekends).
• Evenings (Rotating Weekends).

🔹 Shift Differentials:

• Nights: $3.25/hour.
• Weekends: $2.00/hour.
