Job Duration: Full-Time, 13-week renewable contract

Shift: 3x12-Hour (11:00 - 23:00)

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: $1,814-$2,117/week

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Emergency Room (ER) team. As an ER Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to patients presenting with urgent medical conditions. This is a full-time position with a 13-week renewable contract, offering an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contributing to the well-being of our patients.

Responsibilities:

Assess, triage, and provide appropriate care to patients with a wide range of urgent medical conditions, including trauma, injuries, and acute illnesses.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and perform procedures as required to stabilize and treat patients.
Document patient information, medical history, and treatment plans accurately and timely.
Utilize critical thinking and decision-making skills to prioritize patient care based on acuity and resource availability.
Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding their conditions and treatment options.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to infection control and safety protocols.

Requirements:

Valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Connecticut.
Minimum of 2 years of experience working in an Emergency Room (ER) setting.
ACLS, BCLS, and PALS certifications are required.
COVID-19 vaccination in accordance with facility guidelines (medical/religious exemptions only) and booster dose.
Excellent clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations and provide prompt and efficient care.
