Salary: $1,814-$2,117/week
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Emergency Room (ER) team. As an ER Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to patients presenting with urgent medical conditions. This is a full-time position with a 13-week renewable contract, offering an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contributing to the well-being of our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, triage, and provide appropriate care to patients with a wide range of urgent medical conditions, including trauma, injuries, and acute illnesses.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and perform procedures as required to stabilize and treat patients.
- Document patient information, medical history, and treatment plans accurately and timely.
- Utilize critical thinking and decision-making skills to prioritize patient care based on acuity and resource availability.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding their conditions and treatment options.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
Requirements:
- Valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Connecticut.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in an Emergency Room (ER) setting.
- ACLS, BCLS, and PALS certifications are required.
- COVID-19 vaccination in accordance with facility guidelines (medical/religious exemptions only) and booster dose.
- Excellent clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations and provide prompt and efficient care.
