Job Summary:

Spearhead innovative pharmacy clinical programs.
Directly contribute to formulary management, policy development, and educational initiatives.
Act as a key player in managing the pharmacy in the absence of the Pharmacy Director.
Drive initiatives to improve facility efficiency and patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and analyze drug utilization reviews to promote rational drug therapy.
Provide clinical consultation to medical staff, offering cost-effective therapeutic alternatives.
Develop, manage, and mentor pharmacy clinical programs like anticoagulant monitoring and pain management.
Oversee the reporting of adverse drug reactions and medication errors.
Participate in various nursing and medical staff committees.

Qualifications:

B.S. or Pharm D. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy (Doctor of Pharmacy preferred).
Minimum of 1 year as a Pharmacy Clinical/Operations Specialist.
At least 5 years of hospital pharmacy experience (management experience preferred).
PGY2 pharmacy specialty residency or fellowship (preferred).
Specialty BCPS certification, ACLS or other relevant certification (preferred).
Active Pharmacist license in good standing.
Experience with Microsoft Office, Meditech, and other relevant software.
Acute care pharmacy experience is a must.
