Charge Nurse (RN) – Behavioral Health & Recovery Leadership

Hunt, TX | Full-Time | All Shifts Available

Base Pay: $41.00 – $45.00 per hour (Experience-Based)
Shift Differentials:

  • Weeknight Evening/Night (6:30 p.m.–7:00 a.m.) → +$2.25/hr

  • Weekend Day (6:30 a.m.–7:00 p.m.) → +$3.25/hr

  • Weekend Night (6:30 p.m.–7:00 a.m.) → +$4.75/hr


Overview

Join a respected inpatient recovery center dedicated to helping adults overcome substance use and co-occurring mental health challenges.
As the Charge Nurse (RN), you’ll coordinate care, mentor staff, and ensure nursing excellence across detox and residential units. This leadership role blends clinical decision-making with compassionate guidance in a team that values respect and recovery.


Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support RNs and LVNs during all shifts, ensuring quality, compliant care.

  • Conduct nursing assessments and manage patient care during acute detox phases.

  • Maintain medication administration accuracy and proper documentation.

  • Communicate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team regarding patient status.

  • Audit charts for completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.

  • Model empathy, professionalism, and accountability for nursing staff.

  • Facilitate shift handoffs and coordinate staffing adjustments as needed.


Qualifications

Required

  • Current TX RN license (Compact accepted)

  • 2+ years recent acute or behavioral health nursing experience

  • Leadership or charge role experience within the past year

  • Current BLS certification

Preferred

  • Behavioral Health or Detox experience

  • CNML or Psychiatric Nursing certification
