In 2019, we set a national record by performing 231 living donor kidney transplants in a single year.

Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver safe nursing care independently, applying critical thinking, scientific judgment, and technical skills.
Collaborate with the patient care team to achieve quality outcomes.
Engage actively in unit and organizational activities, showcasing communication, confidence, and professionalism.
Serve as a resource to the patient care team, demonstrating teamwork and adaptability.
Uphold the highest standards of nursing care and promote a positive image of the profession.

Qualifications:

Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
At least 1 year of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse; Acute Care experience preferred.
Active RN License in Texas or Multi-State Compact License (must obtain Texas RN License within 90 days if holding a Compact License).
Current BLS Certification from the American Heart Association.
Candidates from LTAC or Home Health will also be considered.

Additional Information:

Unit Details: 54 beds, Patient to Nurse ratio of 4-5:1. The TCU caters to pre and post-transplant patients.
Compensation: Salary ranges from $30.74 to $43.50, based on years of experience.
Relocation assistance up to $3K available.
