As home to the Texas Transplant Institute, we boast the largest living donor kidney transplant program in the US. In 2019, we set a national record by performing 231 living donor kidney transplants in a single year.

Job Overview:
We invite dedicated Registered Nurses to join our Transplant Care Unit. As part of our team, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring high-quality, efficient care for all patients. If you're passionate about patient care and are looking for a supportive work environment, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver safe nursing care independently, applying critical thinking, scientific judgment, and technical skills.
  • Collaborate with the patient care team to achieve quality outcomes.
  • Engage actively in unit and organizational activities, showcasing communication, confidence, and professionalism.
  • Serve as a resource to the patient care team, demonstrating teamwork and adaptability.
  • Uphold the highest standards of nursing care and promote a positive image of the profession.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
  • At least 1 year of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse; Acute Care experience preferred.
  • Active RN License in Texas or Multi-State Compact License (must obtain Texas RN License within 90 days if holding a Compact License).
  • Current BLS Certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Candidates from LTAC or Home Health will also be considered.

Additional Information:

  • Unit Details: 54 beds, Patient to Nurse ratio of 4-5:1. The TCU caters to pre and post-transplant patients.
  • Compensation: Salary ranges from $30.74 to $43.50, based on years of experience.
  • Relocation assistance up to $3K available.
