Job Duties and Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, primarily X-rays, and ensure high-quality images are captured.
Set up and prepare equipment for each patient, following safety protocols and maintaining cleanliness.
Explain procedures to patients, addressing any concerns and ensuring their comfort during the process.
Position patients correctly for imaging, adjusting equipment as needed to capture the best images.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to determine appropriate imaging techniques.
Operate and maintain radiologic equipment, including GE direct digital and Konica DR systems.
Maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
Adhere to infection control protocols, maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
Provide radiation protection and follow safety standards to protect patients and staff.
Perform image quality checks and troubleshoot equipment issues when necessary.
Assist with training and supervising student radiologic technologists when applicable.
Keep abreast of advancements in radiologic technology and participate in ongoing education and training.
Adhere to the highest ethical and professional standards in healthcare.
