Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, primarily X-rays, and ensure high-quality images are captured.
  • Set up and prepare equipment for each patient, following safety protocols and maintaining cleanliness.
  • Explain procedures to patients, addressing any concerns and ensuring their comfort during the process.
  • Position patients correctly for imaging, adjusting equipment as needed to capture the best images.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to determine appropriate imaging techniques.
  • Operate and maintain radiologic equipment, including GE direct digital and Konica DR systems.
  • Maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols, maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
  • Provide radiation protection and follow safety standards to protect patients and staff.
  • Perform image quality checks and troubleshoot equipment issues when necessary.
  • Assist with training and supervising student radiologic technologists when applicable.
  • Keep abreast of advancements in radiologic technology and participate in ongoing education and training.
  • Adhere to the highest ethical and professional standards in healthcare.
