Position Overview:
The Cardiovascular Specialist - Cath Lab Tech position is open at the Medical Center, a renowned Level I Trauma Center . The center has a rich history of serving the community for over 110 years and boasts a team of 2,000 dedicated employees, 500 volunteers, and more than 1,400 physicians.

Key Features:

Shift: Days (Rotating Weekends & On Call)
Facility: Swedish Medical Center is known for its advanced stroke treatment with door to treatment times averaging just 20 minutes. It serves as the Rocky Mountain Region’s referral center for advanced stroke treatment and is the state’s first Joint Commission certified Comprehensive Stroke Center.
Cardiac Cath Lab: Available 24/7, offering advanced and innovative cardiac services. The medical and nursing staff is extensively trained in all areas of cardiac diseases.

Responsibilities:

Assume responsibility for the routine care and maintenance of radiological equipment.
Ensure quality patient care, maintenance of required cath lab competencies, and assistance in all aspects of invasive or non-invasive cardiac procedures.
Explain procedures to patients to alleviate anxiety.
Handle emergency situations during high-risk procedures with discretion and confidentiality.
Interact with physicians during routine procedures and emergencies.
Work within a team environment and be willing to assume “on call” assignments, returning to the facility within 30 minutes for emergency cases.

Qualifications:

Graduate from an accredited school of cardiovascular technology or an equivalently accredited allied health program.
Certification or registration in cardiovascular technology (RCIS).
Documentation of 2 years of cardiac catheterization laboratory work experience.
Knowledge and competence in basic invasive cardiovascular technology, EKG, patient assessment, and care management.
Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
