Director of Surgical Services – $106,766–$160,160 + 15% Leadership Bonus
Location: Las Vegas, NV
Schedule: Full-Time, Days (Monday–Friday), No Weekends

Compensation & Incentives:

• Salary Range: $106,766 – $160,160 annually (based on experience)

• Leadership Incentive Bonus: 15%

Position Overview
A high-volume acute care facility is seeking a results-driven Director of Surgical Services to lead a thriving perioperative division. The department handles 850–900 surgical cases monthly across 13 operating rooms, including hybrid and robotic suites. This senior leadership role reports directly to the VP of Surgical Services and holds 24/7 responsibility for OR, Preop/PACU, PAT, and SPD.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of surgical services including staffing, budgeting, and capital planning

• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and drive patient safety initiatives

• Improve OR throughput, efficiency, and service line performance

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and medical staff to optimize care delivery

• Develop strategic plans to grow surgical volumes and expand service offerings

• Oversee talent management, staff education, and employee engagement initiatives

• Guide and mentor clinical leaders such as CNCs, charge nurses, and SPD supervisors

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required; Master’s in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Business preferred

• Active RN license in Nevada or Compact State eligibility

• Minimum 3 years of surgical services leadership (Manager level or above)

• CNOR and/or CSSM certification preferred

• Strong understanding of perioperative workflow, budget management, and quality metrics

• 13 Operating Rooms, including Hybrid and Cysto

• Da Vinci Xi and spine robotics surgical platforms

• Specialties include Ortho, Neuro, GYN, Urology, GI, Thoracic, General, and Colorectal

• Department includes 110 FTEs with plans to add additional leadership roles

• Recently expanded OR capacity to accommodate growing surgical volume
