Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent – Nights (Rotating Weekends)

Compensation:

Base Pay: $30.76 – $41.50/hour (based on years of experience)
Differentials: +$4.75/hour nights | +$3.00/hour weekends | +$2.00/hour with national certification
Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 (Days) | $15,000 (Nights)
- Paid 2% on first/second paycheck, balance in 6-month increments
Relocation Assistance: Available, case by case

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced PCU Stepdown Charge RN to lead a high-acuity, 46-bed Cardiac PCU unit. This role blends direct patient care with leadership responsibilities, ensuring high-quality nursing practice while supporting staff performance and unit flow. All patients are monitored on telemetry, and nurses manage cardiac patients such as Afib, RVR, and pre/post-cath, along with a variety of drips.

This is a great opportunity for RNs with both acute care and charge nurse experience to step into a rewarding leadership role in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care for PCU Stepdown patients
Serve as Charge Nurse: oversee unit workflow, support staff, and allocate resources
Monitor and respond to telemetry changes, manage drips, and ensure timely interventions
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes
Educate and support patients and families throughout hospitalization and discharge planning
Promote patient-centered care and foster a supportive team environment

Qualifications:

Current Florida RN license or multistate compact license (required)
Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred
BLS required (AHA or Red Cross); ACLS within 6 months of hire
Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience required
Must have previous Charge RN experience in a hospital setting
Strong leadership, critical thinking, and communication skills
